  • 1.  Ports blocked on SBS Server running Endpoint

    I am trying to figure out why a couple of ports are being blocked on my server. I have Endpoint Protection Manager 11.0.400 installed on a Small Business Server 2003 with a client also running on the server. The client only has Antivirus and Antispyware protection installed. I need to open a couple of ports for a new application and am not able to get it working. What could be blocking the port? Thanks.

    hi,

    with only av/as feature installed, port blocking is something weird, have you unsinstalled AV/AS  and see if at all it works fine, or may be earlier installed compenents might be having the issue.

    you can look at the av/as logs for any application being blocked.

    Are you sure there is no firewall on the server?
