  • 1.  Possible performance issue with SWG

    Has anyone tested network performance through SWG on the latest release (5.0.2.8)? We are experiencing a situation where upload speed is reduced to about 50% of line capacity with the SWG enabled. Download speed is not affected.

    We have a open case with SYmantec support on this, but I wanted to share this and get feedback if anyone else is also seeing this.

    Hi,

    Which mode are you running SWG?

    How are you testing the upload speed in both scenarios?

    do you have any blacklist entry affecting this? If so, how many?

    The SWG are inline/blocking and speedtest.net are one of the sites used for measurements. We do have blacklists (about 3000 entries) - these were recently purged/re-added to (partly) resolve our performance issue.
