  • 1.  Is is possible to use multiple domain on PGP Universal Server?

    Posted Mar 10, 2015 10:35 PM

    Hey guys,

We have an exising PGP Universal server only used for PGP Whole Disk Encryptions, it uses a domain named Domain1 for cridentials of the users. Now have another domain named Domain2 where the clients there also need PGP Whole Disk Encryption. Our plan is to just use the PGP Universal Server of the Domain1. So basically using 1 PGP Server for 2 Domain. Is this possible? A documentation on how to do it is also nice to have.

We'll still use it for PGP Whole disk encryption once the new domain is added so all the laptops on the domain2 is encrypted.

    Thank you,

As long as the traffic from the second domain is allowed to reach the Universal Server, and that domain is added under Consumers>Managed Domains, it should work fine.  The PGP Universal Server would also need to have LDAP access to a catalog server for the second domain to register the users.

Sounds good.  As long as there is a managed domain set in the PGP Universal Server and an LDAP directory structure for it to query under Consumers>Directory Synchronization for both domains, you shouldn't have any trouble.  Let me know if you run into any issues.

    Hi,

Worked like a charm, also I advice anyone who's trying this to talk to your Domain Administrator, they can give you better idea on what input to use for Base DN and Bind DN because every domain environment is different.

    Thank you,
