    Kinda depends on what you're looking for.  The SymHelp tool includes the a scanner, but the machine must first be booted into Windows to launch it.  It then asks for a reboot in order to launch its rootkit scanner.

    Another option is the Symantec Endpoint Recovery Tool, which is a bootable disk image (CD/USB):

    I required the symantec scanning tool to scan system on safe mode if you knoe about Symantec NSS.
