  • 1.  Problem upgrading from 11.0.4000.2295 MR4 to 11.0.5 RU5

     HI all.
    I'm try to upgrade our server to RU5 but i've got an error where upgrading the database:

     Stop SEPM service.Then run the upgrade if still its not upgrading try running upgrade.bat
    from\program files\symantec ......manager\bin

     I did it and i got the same error. Strangely, when the upgrade windows appear, it tell me that it will upgrade from 11.0.0.1 !!!

    That is fine, Please go ahead with that , it will upgrade to SEP RU5 , don't get confused with the 11.0.0.1 that appears during the mangement server configuration.

     Ok but i still got the same error. 

    it seems that the upgrade try to create a new ID field in the database but it already exists.

    SQL Command: ALTER TABLE ANOMALYDETECTIONS ADD ID CHAR(32) NOT NULL DEFAULT upper(replace(newid(),'-',''))
    SQLState:  52010
    Message:  ASA Error -110: Item 'ID' already exists

    Would suggest to go for disaster recovery procedure there looks to be some abnormalities with Database.
