    Hello,

We purchased a 10-user licence of GSS.
These type of computers need to be "ghosted" :
    - 2x Sony VAIO (Marvell Yukon 88E8036)
    - 3x HP DC7700 SFF (Intel 82566DM)
    - 5x HP 6710b (BroadCom BCM57xx)

I'm not able to get Ghost running on the Sony VAIO's and the DC7700SFF's.
The Sony's give this error :
    Details for: To Virtual Partition
Failed to reboot client  to recovery partition
The HP DC7700's give this error :
    Details for: To Virtual Partition
Client drive has too many partitions to use the Virtual Partition

The HP6710b do their backup image perfectly.

All systems are running Windows Vista Business

Is there anyone who can help me to solve this problem. I've read a few topics on the forums about those
errors, but can't get it solved.

    Regards,
    Tim Van Engeland

    Hi

Just guessing, but the disk that contains your system partition can only have 3 primary partitions on it as ghost requires one. This seems to say it can't get a primary...

    Hi Tim,
I had the same problem. The response you got gave me a clue, so I cracked it, at least for me.
I had 3x partitions on my HD, a Dell System Restore, C: and D:
I figured, since I will use Ghost for system Restore (and since I was only testing this for the first time)
I deleted the Dell System Restore partition, and whops, it worked !

Maybe it can point you too into a right direction.

Anyways, good luck to you !
