  • 1.  Proper command line to upgrade 8.2.1 to 11.3 SEE

    I'm using:

    msiexec /i "SEE Client_x64.msi" /l*v "c:\SEEUpgrade.log"  ALLUSERS=2 WINSETUPAUTOMATION=1 REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS CONDITION_NOUI=1

     

    It works for me in all of my testing but our techs are seeing failures, it seems every article I find on here has a different command line, anyone have a better one to be using?

    You need to examine the logs to see why they're failing. Could be another install going on, missing pre requisites or anything.

    I understand that but just wondering if anyone who has done this has a solid command line they have used

    I know the Upgrade Guide (https://support.symantec.com/uk/en/article.DOC9135.html) contradicts itself, but your techs' repeated errors suggest the "Unsupported upgrade paths" table on page 27 is accurate, and that you should upgrade to v11.2.1 first, before then further upgrading to v11.3

    NOTE: v11.2.1 does not support the WINSETUPAUTOMATION switch
