  • 1.  ProxyAV - Debugger.log

    Hi,

    The ProxyAV have a several logs enabled by default and a few others that can be enabled for troubleshooting purposes.

    A log called  "Debugger.log"  is active in our unit. I have not enabled this log but it seems to be an add-on since it is not mentioned in the admin guide.
    I realise that this log is maybe not intended for the average user/administrator. Regardless I want to ask about the content.

    Our ProxyAV units log entries, similar to the lines below, approximately 10 times each minute:

    Sun Sep 10 22:00:18 2017
    (UTC):[CWPDebugView::DebugProcessThread] Exception Occured : 2
    Sun Sep 10 22:00:18 2017
    (UTC):[CWPDebugView::DebugProcessThread] Exception Handling Done with ThreadInfo->ProgramCrashed = 0 and DoContinue = 1

    ...

    Lots of exceptions seem to occur all the time, but ProgramCrashed = 0 seems comforting. Is this expected behaviour or should I worry?

    Hi,

    a debug by nature will also log loads of information about the normal procedures on the device. I would only start worrying about it when the users experiencing any issues.

    I've checked on one of mine ProxyAVs and found the same entries. I will continue to ignore them :)
