  • 1.  PTP is diabled / Multiple Problems in SEP

    One of my client is showing multiple problesm in sep.

    PTP is Disabled

    Download insight is malfunctioning

     

    I restarted the SEP services & the server.. It is still the same.

    PTP log says :

    Sonar Enginer load Error: Sonar has generated an error code: 0 Definition Failure

    Sonar Enginer load Error: Sonar has generated an error code: 1 Heuristic scan or load failure.

     

    Version running. 12.1.2015 Windows 2008 Server.

    Have you tried repairing the client add/remove programs > symantec endpoint protection > change repair. Once complete reboot the server?

    If you can, try a reboot. Otherwise a repair should take care of it.

    Rebooted and ran repair..

    Now, PTP is not functioning properly due to an Intrusion prevention component...

    Try and upgrde to 12.1.5. Next step would be removal/reinstall.

    Reinstalled it using cleanwipe.. Still its the same...

    Check that clients is under which group & if possible move it to the different group for testing purpose.

    I cant do that chetan, its embedded in OU structure.

    If this is the only affected client can you perform manual upgrade?

    Its fixed now after leaving it for 2 days to get the def;s from sepm after cleawipe.
