Thanx for the advice Pete, but I had already checked that support document and it didn't help (also it doesn't really make sense to me, as, for example, I could not find an "inetpub" folder in my Symantec folder). I can, however, run Live Update both inside and outside of the SEP Manager, but afterwards the problem that my pro-active threat protection is off persists. I also tried un- and reinstalling SEP, but the problem continues.
My SEP is version 11.0 and I have Vista Business 32bit. It may be worth mentioning that my SEP is a self-managed client.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
