  • 1.  Pushing content updates issue

Good Morning all. I've begun work on a pre-existing network that is giving me lots of troubles while trying to push virus definitions to the workstations.

I've got computers on two subnets, an isolated network and a public network separated by a firewall. I open the firewall so that I can push content and updates but my machines on the isolated network will not update. I am able to ping the Management server. However the computers if I go into troubleshooting, can tell what group they are in, but see the server as offline. Are there ports/traffic that I need to allow on the firewall? Am I missing some services that need to be running?

The endpoint protection manager is on the public network subnet. The machines on the isolated network received updates the last time I opened the firewall without any issue on Sept 1st. But did not update the last time I opened the firewall...

I'd appreciate any help or suggestions for this issue.

    Hi,

Please refer this link which explains the ports used by endpoint. You can configure them accordingly. Also I am sending you a link for Troubleshooting Client server Connectivity.
