Hi, new to the forums and GSS so please excuse me if my question is redundant.  I did do a search but didn't find an answer.

I am currently evaluating GSS 2 for my company and was reading through the Implementation Guide before diving into the console.

I was reading on page 64 about the 3com Boot Services and I quote "The Symantec Ghost version of 3Com Boot Services was developed before Microsoft released Windows Vista. Therefore, Symantec Ghost does not support 3Com Boot Services on Windows Vista."  Am I reading this right to mean that imaging via pxe can't be done for Vista systems?

    Thank you.

There is no means provided to install 3Com Boot Services on Vista operating systems. If you do manage to install it or parts thereof somehow, we are not in a position to provide support for 3Com Boot Services when installed on Vista operating systems.

The deployment of Vista operating systems using 3Com Boot Services is fully supported.

If required, I should also note it is possible to boot Windows Vista PE using 3Com Boot Services. Adina has some information on that over here. This is not something we officially support at the moment, but we use it in house quite a lot for imaging using Ghost32.EXE. Ghost32 is fully supported under Vista.
