This file has been quarantined and I did a search on it but I can't find anything please advise

What was it quarantined as (virus name)?

Symantec knows about virus so quarantined, have you tried scanning from virustotal?

that was the category and it listed the name of the file and that was it I googled this exe and there is NOTHING on it anywhere she is also getting many other warnings so I figured it was a virus it is on her home computer so I can do virustotal but I will recommend she do it at home

You can get a second opinion quarantined files by double-clicking on the item in your SEP Client's quarantine section to bring up its Risk Details.

In the risk details, you should be able to find the Hash, which you can search for on the below site:

Not sure if defs were upto date, ask the user to run a full scan online

This detection was based off heuristics, not the traditional AV scan. It is more for unknown malware/zero days

from the screen shot she showed me her virus and spyware is up to date but her proactive threat protection is not she is also getting messages about blocked traffic from an IP
