  • 1.  Query regarding Upgrade Schedule in Client Install Settings

    Posted Aug 03, 2016 05:32 AM

    Hi,

I have one query regarding the Upgrade Package that we can assign to a particular group in SEPM. If we select 0 days under Upgrade Schedule in Client Install settings then all clients get updated immediately as soon as they check-in with the SEPM. However i want to know what happens in below scenarios:

    1) If we select 3 days under Upgrade Schedule in Client Install settings, what will happen if client who is not upgraded checks-in after 3 days?

    2) If we deselect Upgrade Schedule in Client Install settings, what will happen to those clients who are not upgraded and they check-in to SEPM?

    1) If we select 3 days under Upgrade Schedule in Client Install settings, what will happen if client who is not upgraded checks-in after 3 days? - After the 3 days the upgrades will no longer go through so any machine that comes on after those 3 days you will have to refresh the install package

    2) If we deselect Upgrade Schedule in Client Install settings, what will happen to those clients who are not upgraded and they check-in to SEPM? - The machines will randomly check in to the SEPM and upgrade within the distributed day length. The upgrade schedule just allows them to only upgrade between specific times of those days.
