Hi all,
I'm new in DLP. What should I read if I want to deploy DLP ? And can vontu DLP integrate with Symantec Endpoint protection ??

The integration between SEP and DLP is through Workflow.  Take a look at the SEP lockdown workflow that ships with DLP 10.5.  Should be a part of the software you download.

The admin guide and install guide included in the Docs portion are good guides for getting started

Start with the install guide - Specially Oracle install, which is easy if you follow the steps closely, but you should be extremelly careful.

The admin Guide is very clear, and technically it is not very hard to deploy.

 

As for integration, you can get some task/reporting integration by integrating both with Altiris/SMP.

There are no conflict between the SEP client and DLP agent. You can use DLP IC to delply the DLP agent.

One of the files that you should download from fileconnect is a zip file of documents.  In that zip file are the Oracle Install Guide, the DLP install guide and the DLP admin guide.  These documents are great resources and should help you out.

You can use both the Symantec Endpoint Integration Component and also the Symantec Endpoint Protection Integrated Component to deploy those agents.

Otherwise you can use whatever software delivery product you are currently using as they are both available as MSIs.

 

One potential problem is if you are using the default network security policy and doing an Endpoint discover there will be a lot of positives for files in the SEP folder you may want to exclude or exclude the policy from the scan

Fileconnect is for existing customers, it does require product serial number to use the resource.

It there any other way to get recent version docs? I know that Entsupport could be helpful, but it takes some efforts to find the right document there - you need to make particular search request.
