can anyone explain why the MD5 checksum values shown in the table http://www.symantec.com/business/security_response/definitions/download/detail.jsp?gid=rr
do not appear to be valid? e.g. I downloaded symrapidreleasedefsv5i32.exe dated 04/24/2011 with the MD5 16B28D10BD72F5ECCD3C2745F8069C9C but using a number of different checksum programs I generate ECB4011CD3EBB7D189F79F710CC415BC
the file symrapidreleasedefsv5i64.exe with
MD5 386A795B3C151580D3000F0F2234C7EE generates
3132C60C5B56D6760453ADBF73366C04
Thanks

but RR files are changing quite fast (about 12 times a day AFAIK). Perhaps you downloaded an "old" file but got a "new" MD5 hash (or vice versa).
I downloaded an RR file just for couriosity, and MD5 hash matches with the generated one.
just tried twice more, the 2nd time the values did match, so it must be as you say
it would appear that using the link below to pull the 20110424-002-v5i32.exe and 20110424-002-v5i64.exe binaries
http://www.symantec.com/business/security_response/definitions/download/detail.jsp?gid=n95
instead provides consistant results every time, all I need do is to wildcard the 20110424-002- values to get the latest files
