We've currently got Altiris Deployment Solution 6.9 and we're trying to install the 7.1 version. We downloaded the Symantec Installation Manager and chose our options. When it performs the Readiness Check it says we need to have Windows Server 2003 for Symantec Management Platform. The problem is, we already have it. I've attached the screenshot to show the error. What are we doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

DS 7.1 requires that SMP 7.1 be installed. SMP 7.1 is not supported on Windows Server 2003. Here is a link to the Symantec Management Platform and Altiris Solutions Support Matrix:

Thanks for the quick response. We'll work on upgrading to Server 2008.

You need Server 2008 R2, not Server 2008.
