    Posted Dec 04, 2016 09:35 PM

Hello - I have  Macbook Air running macOS Sierra version 10.12.1

I have an external USB drive that contains encrypted files.  When I run the file "RemovableMediaAccessUtilityC.dmg" it produces the the error message "You must start Removable Media Access Utility from a removable storage device to view the contents of the device. Contact you administrator". I confirm I am running the file from a USB device, which the Mac mounts during installation.

If I run the .exe file from a Windows machine, eveything loads fine. The problem is the .dmg file won't run on the mac.

I no longer have access to the original computer where the files were copied from

    Please help!

Do you have access to a machine running an earlier MacOS version?  The latest System Requirements article I coud find (http://www.symantec.com/docs/INFO3170) states support up to 10.11.4, and that's assuming your files were encrypted using the latest SEE version.
