    I only get this error on this modelof computer HP elitebook 8540p, I have other computers connnected and they recognize fine

    This is usually caused by a NIC driver issue. I would suggest entering 10030 into the search field at the top of the forum page, then filter further by selecting GSS on the right. This will give you a list of past threads discussing the error, for example this solved thread:
