Network Access Control

Hello all,

We are using Endpoint security and Brightmail appliance to both check for virus and spam but the only thing im missing atm with our Small Business Server 2008 is a way to see which users are doing what on the internet and possibly which sites they check etc (basically what brightmail does for emails).

Ofcourse i can redirect some DNS names on the SBS2008 server to avoid employees viewing specific sites but i prefer to be able to monitor and/or be able to say per user group in active directory who is allowed to browse what (i guess best way is by controling DNS or something).

Does anyone know how to establish something like this in SBS2008, is there a symantec product for this?

You can have a proxy. Not much idea whether Symantec has any such product or not???

Brightmail is a gateway product used only to scan for Email messages...

You need to use Web filtering product to restrict your users from browsing. By this you can allow only sites approved by your organisation.

Earilier symantec had a product called Symantec Web Security...

Yes we are going over to Symantec Protection Suite now (from endpoint security) which includes everything we need. Great product.
