    Greetings,
I would like to ask you for help.

Our customer have two SEP managers (Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, SEP RU5, new installation, HW 2x quadcore, 4 GB RAM, RAID 1+0)
The database server is Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, MS SQL Server 2008 Standard with SP1, 2x quadcore, 4 GB RAM, RAID 1+0

    We recognized a strange behaviour:

    Symptom 1:w
Monitor, Reports tabs slow to respond (sometimes tWO or more minutes to load items in this tabs)

    Symptom 2:
Different numbers of clients in clients group depending on view
    For Examples:
    Default View displays 20 servers
Protection Technology displays only 8 servers
(all SEP clients on servers are running without errors)

    Symptops 3.

Scheduled reports does not run by then we change the server time for a few minutes...
Server times on all servrs is configured correctly (with NTP synchronization)

We currently have 5000 clients connected to SEP managers.

Syptoms 1 appeared immediately after installation.

There are no errors in application and system log.

We installed database server and SEP managers accordance with best practices from Knowledge base.

Any ideas how to solve these problems?

    Thank you

    With Regards,

    Jan

    Symptom 1:w
Monitor, Reports tabs slow to respond (sometimes two or more minutes to load items in this tabs)

On the Home page of the SEPM, under Security Status click Preferences. On the Home and Monitors tab you will see the option for Auto-Refresh rate. In the drop-down menu to the right select the refresh interval that you would like to have. Check whether this helps.

    Symptom 2:
Different numbers of clients in clients group depending on view
    For Examples:
    Default View displays 20 servers
Protection Technology displays only 8 servers
(all SEP clients on servers are running without errors)

    Display & Protection view.JPG

The information displayed is different in these tabs for the simple fact that they depict different features. If any of the requisites is not met by a particular server that server will not be listed and hence the difference.

    Symptom 3.

Scheduled reports does not run by then we change the server time for a few minutes...
Server times on all servers is configured correctly (with NTP synchronization)

I will try to replicate this issue on my test machine and get back to you
