Hi guys, I need to know that can we run the network based shared insight cache server on the same machine as SEPM? the server has adequate resources so is it supported to run it like this or there are some known issues or problems if we run it on the same machine as SEPM?

    Your support is appreciated. Thanks

To answer your question no, can't be done. Its impractical and impossible

Symantec recommends running them both separately.

Network-based SIC server system requirements and recommendations

The network-based SIC server is designed to run on a stand-alone physical or virtual machine, and should not be installed to a system running other database applications or high-availability server applications, such as Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) or Microsoft SQL Server. See System requirements for network-based Symantec Shared Insight Cache Server for official system requirements.

The SIC server works with Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 12.1 clients, especially in virtualized environments, to improve on-demand scan performance.

Total how many clients are in the network? Are they VM's?
