  • 1.  Samsung sm-w720, internal keyboard not working during PGP Bootguard password request.

Hello, I installed Symantec PGP on Samsung Galaxy Book sm-w720 and encrypted the hard drive so that when enabled, I would be asked for the boot password. Everything is fine, but during the inclusion and request a password, I can not enter it, the internal keyboard does not work. If you press the keys, it just lights up, but the characters do not appear. I can only enter the password using an external USB keyboard.

Is there any virtual keyboard possibility while Bootguard pass request, or other solution?

That's weird, as the issues related to a keyboard & SEE are external keyboards. Have you tried to use an external keyboard to see what the outcome is?

    Thanks!

Historically, this is down to drivers in the PBA being incompatible with the device in question.

As it requires updates to the PBA, I'd recommend logging a case with Symantec, so that they can add the relevant drivers for the next update (also note you're more likely to see this update first in SEE rarther than SED.)

Please also review the below articles about Virtual Keybopards in general.  Again, note that these focus on SEE, not SED:
