    Hey Guys,

    I know I've been asking alot of questions lately but I'm not familiar with linux, and I dont have time to do testing as of this time. every time we do ./sav info -d

    it will just stuck on that and wont show the lates updates.  What is it that is wrong with this?

    Thanks,

    I have run into this same problem recently. It occurred on a couple of RHEL 5 servers where I had XML errors when I attempted an initial update on them. I solved this problem by removing the two RPMs, deleting all of the related files in /tmp, and deleting the /opt/Symantec directory. I re-installed SAV and updated both servers successfully. The -d/--defs and -a options hang (I didn't try any others).

    I'm not interested in the Reporter or auto-protect right now. The two required daemons (symcfgd, rtvscand) are running. The defs file confirms the successful update:

    [root@eadc-w-sdevdb01 virusdefs]# cat definfo.dat
    [DefDates]
    LastDefs=20111214.009
    CurDefs=20131223.002

    Hi,

    I hope kernel version is in the supported list.

    System requirements for Symantec AntiVirus for Linux 1.0

    http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/ppfdocs/2005110716014248

    Type "uname -a" to check kernel version details

    Java version should be minimum 1.4 or above.

    #Edit

    Also can share the liveupdate logs

    Logs can be available here: /opt/Symantec/LiveUpdate/liveupdt.log
