  • 1.  Scheduling when client download virus definitions from the manager

    Hi,

In the LiveUpdate Settings policy, I can't schedule an update, I know that I need to enable LiveUpdate servers for that, but I don't understand why.
I want my clients to download virus definitions (and updates) from the SEPM once a week at a predefined schedule, is that possible? If so, how?

    Many thanks,
    Vic

SEPM - Admin -Server -Local Site (my site) - Properties- Liveupdate.

Default is 4 hours you can set it to 1 week.

Vikram Kumar, thanks for the reply. However I'm not sure if I agree.

What you mentioned are properties for the SITE, meaning when the site download the updates from the Symantec Servers, is it not?

What I want to know is how to schedule the Manager to PUSH updates to the Clients, I only want it to happen once a week, however I want the site to download updates from the Symantec servers the default time (every 4 hours)

    Thanks again.

    1 Site = 1 SEPM server

Once the SEPM downloads the updates it pushes it to the clients.
On the Client you cannot schedule the time when it will take the definitions from SEPM because as SEPM downloads clients get it.
