  • 1.  SD 7.1 SP2 Using IE 9 or 10 - Does this still occur in SD 7.5?

    Posted Jun 19, 2013 09:21 AM

    Hello,

We have noticed that some of the interface features in SD do not always work as expected with IE 9 or 10.  For example, when viewing a list of tickets, it might be necessary to scroll past page 1.   When you select another page (page 4 for example) it allows you to do it that one time, but it does not allow you to do it a second time.

Another example is when expanding clicking the + sign to expand the Task Viewer list, if the report refreshes on it's own, the + sign will no longer work.  You have to refresh the entire page to expand the list again.

Setting ServiceDesk to compatibility mode does not correct the issue.  Is this fixed in SD 7.5?

    Thank you.

    Hi WK01,

ServiceDesk 7.5 does not support IE10.

    Kindest Regards,

    Hello CNWilliams,

What about IE 9?  We see some of these issues with version 9 of Internet Explorer.

    Thank you for responding.

Most of the issues you are describing appear to be IE nuances with certian 3rd-party controls we use in the portal (FF and Chrome usually do not have these issues). We've fixed some issues around these controls where we can (by tweaking JavaScript around the associated controls), but I'm unsure off the top of my head if these issues have been addressed.

Will IE 9 and SD 7.5 eliminate the issues I describe above?
