  • 1.  SD.Email.Monitor problem

    Hello,

    I have an inquiry and I need a solution please.

    after setting up the servicedesk should the SD.Email.Monitor be installed by default or should i add it manually?!

    Actually i added it manually becuase it was not found, but before publishing the project i found a couple of errors that there is a missing parameter called:[ProfileProperties].servicedesk_email_monitor_server_protcal

    what do i do and please if thier is an configuration guide to this SD.Email.Monitor someone tell me

    If you login to Process Manager

    Admin | Data | Application Properties

    Is there a 'ServiceDeskSettings' listed?

    If you click on this, there is a section for Mail Settings, check these are filled in correctly.

     

    Back in Workflow Manager open 'SD.Email.Monitor'

    Click on the Project.png Project in the Project treeview

    Click on the 'Application Properties' tab.

    Use 'Application Properties' should be ticked.

    'ServiceDeskSettings' should also be ticked.

    If these aren't, check them then you can click Refresh too.

    I've published the SD.Email.Monitor successfully but when i try to go to http://localhost/SD.Email.Monitor/EmailMonitoringService.asmx thats what i get

    Have you tried running the application in debug mode?

    Debug.png

    Expand "EmailMonitoringService.asmx"

    Right click "CheckForMessages"

    Hit "Invoke"

    Email Monitor - Debug.png

    You can then see where it is going in the process.

    Also if you open the Log Viewer (Workflow Explorer)

      [Install Drive]:\Program Files\Symantec\Workflow\Tools\Symantec.Explorer.exe

    Or open the Log File and select SD.Email.Monitor.log

      [Install Drive]:\Program Files\Symantec\Workflow\Logs\SD.Email.Monitor.log

    It should have some more info.
