  • 1.  SED very slow console on VMWare

    Posted Aug 24, 2015 01:37 PM

    I just tested to install SED 10.3.2 MP9 on both a Win 8.1 and Win2012 R2 VM.
The boot login screen is extremely slow, meaning I have to repeatedly enter each letter several times before PGP accept it.
And the screen resolution is just way too big, is it in 1920x1080? Why is the screen resolution set so high when it is only a small portion that's actually in use?

Tested this on both ESXi 5.5 and 6.0 with the latest updates.

The old WDE boot screen was way better.

Do you have VMWare tools installed on both systems?  I have installed many times in VMware, and I didn't get the results you are seeing.

As I wrote, it is during BOOT (straight after BIOS, before OS loads) the problem are present. Not after Windows boot. And as far as I know, VMWare tools are not loaded until OS is loaded.
