    Hi,

for SEE, it is stated that the prerequisties is to have a Database Instance that must be in mixed mode authentication. I receive an error while trying to set it. Why is that so?

Any1 here familar with MS SQL Server 2005? This is the 1st time I installed MS SQL Server 2005. Creation of Database Instance is just install the cd? Or there are more steps to create it?

I followed this link to set my configuration http://www.codeproject.com/KB/database/SQL_Server_2005_remote.aspx

The error message it gave me was "Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object. (SqlManagerUI)"

Any kind soul can enlightened me.

    Thanks

When exactly you get this error. At which step of the above article?
Make sure your SA account is configured properly
And try following these articles as they are straight from Microsoft.

Make sure that you can login to the database with the SQL Management Studio using SQL authentication and the sa account.  Once you're logged into the instance, make sure you don't have the SEEMSdb listed.  (If it only partially created during installation you'll need to remove it before installing again.)  Also make sure that the database account you attempted to create during installation is not listed under Securtiy > Logins.  If its there and you attempt installation again, you'll get a 27506 error.  If its there delete it or specify a different account during install.  After checking these things, try the installation again, only this time enable logging for the installation.  Paste this into run.

    MSIEXEC /i "[path]\Symantec Endpoint Encryption Management Server.msi" /lvx [logpath]\logfile.log

Look through the log for value 3 if the installation fails.
