  • 1.  SEP 11 def updates

    Posted Feb 23, 2015 09:34 AM

I just called support but didn't get an answer.  They are going to call me back.

So i do have a SEP 12 environment that most everything is on, but we do still have a SEP 11 server running that has about 50 servers relying on it (some servers in our environments we have a a very hard time getting downtime to upgrade to the new client)

My questions are.  Symantec is still pushing out updated def's for Sep 11 correct?  the phone tech couldn't confirm and my SEP11 server latest defs are dated 1.5.15.  This seems very wrong to me.

If they are still pushing out new defs does anything know how to correct my issue?

If i were to push the syslink file out to these servers from my SEP12 console, would they get new defs even though they have the SEP 11 client?  Would a syslink file push cause a reboot?

    Thanks for the help.

SEP 11.x is end of support life and no longer receives updates, however, if it is connected to a 12.1 it is possible to still receive *untested* defintions. See these links:
