hello, i have read all the tricks for clearing an unmanaged detector and its discovered devices to no avail.

i have enabled and disabled the unmanaged detector repeatedly, clear the database, restarted, changed the non check-in purge threshold.

these steps worked for the several other UD that were int he system but there is one particular UD that will not clear itself or its failed devices.

both the SEPM and the device in question have been updated to ru6 mp2.

anyone have any further ideas?

after a few hours of fiddling i finally did the trick.  i am using AD syncing and i had to move the odd UD out of the AD tree and then sync SEPM's tree to AD.

that put the odd UD device in the Default group in SEPM

then delete it from there and reboot SEPM

remove it as a umnaged detector

move it a test group ( create a new one if you can)

wait for 10 mins, make it unmanaged detector again

nice :) that did the trick
