Hi, i want to install sep client on 2 servers:

Server 1:  Exchange server with SMSMSE.

    Server 2: Runs SEP manager.

Question: What  "kind" of package shoud i deploy to these servers? witch components and pocilies shoud they have?

Is there any kind of  "good practices" when installing the client on servers?

BTW, both servers run Windows server 2003.

    Thanks in advance!

As a Best Practise it is advised to install only Antivirus and Antispyware on exchange rest all important exchange directories are automatically excluded by SEP for Exchange Server 2000 and 2003.

On the SEP manager you can install All the Features.Just make sure if you are changing the firewall policy or making any stricter ones allow the SEPM and SEP communication on port 8014..

By Default it is allowed and there will be no problems.

The Proactive Threat Protection is made up of 2 components ( Proactive Threat Scan and Application & Device Control )
Proactive Threat Scan is not compatible with Server and 64 bit OS>
It will install but show OFF. .However the Application and Device Control Policy works on server OS.
