  • 1.  SEP 12.1 crashing Windows Unified Data Storage Server 2003 Clusters

I am having an issue with 2 of our Dell PowerVault NX1950's using Windows Unified Data Storage Server 2003 after we upgraded to SEP v12.1.  As soon as you reboot from a successful install the servers are crashing and one of them rolled itself back to SEP v11, the other did not roll back and had to disconnect from the network to get it to boot up again to remove the SEP v12.1.  The 2 Storage Servers are clustered using Microsoft Clustering Technology,    The storage servers seemed to work fine installed with SEP v11.

Here is kinda of the environment were working with:

There are 2 Dell PowerVault NX1950s connected to a Dell PowerVault MD3000 storage array via SAS controllers and use Microsoft’s clustering technology

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks

    Hi Butter Muffin,

For equipment this high-end and complex, you are probably best opening a case with Symantec Technical Support for professional/trained assistance.  There may be an admin here in the peer-support forums who has the same equipment, exprienced exactly the same issue, etc.... but that is a long shot.  &: )

Chances are that this issue will require an analysis of a full memory dump of the crashes you describe- not somethting that can be done without special tools and expertise.

    Hope this helps!!
