    has anyone successfully blocked firewire using SEP 12.1 GA Device Control?

    Device Type: "IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers"

    Class GUID: "{6bdd1fc1-810f-11d0-bec7-08002be2092f}"

    Have just tested on W7 x64 on Lenovo T410 and FireWire controller still enabled.

    CD/DVD, Smart Card, Imaging Devices, SD Host blocked ok according to Device Manager.

    Could you check if these could be blocked on 32 bit machines or not??

    Let us know on the same.

    We may have to Reproduce the same.

    I would recommend you if this is happening by a number of users, then create a case with Symantec Technical Support.

    a case has been logged with our TAM. I really would like to use the power of the community to pool our experience to see if others have esperienced the same issue.
