  • 1.  SEP 12.1.5 Linux client shows offline in SEPM

I've installed SEPM 12.1.5 on my Windows XP system and "deployed" the client software to 9 RHEL/CentOS Linux systems.  One shows up as offline in SEPM even though the client appears to communicating with SEPM on the Linux side - savtray shows the server info.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Green dot on the client, not on SEPM.

Interesting. That may/may not be normal. Maybe someone from Symantec can confirm. Seems like it is connected though...

Haven't tested how linux client would look like on SEPM console, whats the last check in time? does it show up if you create a computer status report?

No, it's not showing up in any reports.

I deleted it from SEPM and tried to add it back, but it never showed up as green in SEPM.  So I did an "./install.sh -u" and then an "./install.sh -i" (since it wouldn't let me re-install).  Rebooted, and had to build the ap kernel module since it's on CentOS 5.  Updated the virus defs.  After that it showed green on both the client and the Manager.

Not sure what caused the disconnect, but hopefully it won't happen again.

    Thanks.
