Hey all I am inquiring about an issue we are facing when installing on some new hardware in our environment. We are installing Win 2012 R2 on CISCO UCS C240M4 Rack mounted servers. After the install of the OS we tried to install the latest version of SEP from Symantec 12.1.6. Upon doing so windows explorer crashes on the server. This is the event viewer error:

Can you also run the symdiag tool?

Download SymDiag to detect Symantec product issues

The SymDiag tool will not run as expected after the SEP install as the service will not start and explorer.exe keeps crashing.

And if you remove SEP completely?

You will need to get a case open on this.

We have a case opened at the moment but it is stalled and hasn't gone anywhere, I was just trying to see if anyone here has experienced similar behavior.

I find it strange that Explorer.exe would be looking to a .dll in the Symantec path ??
