  • 1.  SEP 14.2 MP1 clients not accepting uninstall password

I have an uninstall password set on my policies in SEPM. When uninstalling 14.2 MP1 clients, they ask for the password, but do not accept it. Older 14.0 clients do not have this issue.  Has anyone else experienced this? I removed the password on the policy, then re-added, but it did not resolve the issue.

I actually got the same issue it seems, but then with build 14.0.3929.1200, another machine with build 14.0.3752.1000 accepts the password.
I thought about this topic because I couldn't uninstall and tested with an older build in the same container thus same password.

I haven't made a ticket about it yet, will probably do this the coming days.

Our password only consists of numbers, lower and uppercase letters, no special characters (15).

I just got this article from Support: https://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH249321
Have you done those steps after the upgrade jl80?

We upgraded to 14.2.0.1 and followed those steps from the tech article, the uninstall password is working again.
