Endpoint Protection

In my SEP Management Console the Windows Latest Manager Version is showing as 2010-02-24 rev. 068 , It was stuck on the 31,12,09 for ages , I ran the SEPM patch and followed the Live Update Procedure from the management console & it updated for 1 day.

I was kind of hoping that RU6 or RU6a would have fixed this , but it's still a problem.

Anyone have any ideas ?

If you try by updating jdb file it is getting updated?

Definitions might have got corrupted..However if you are using 11.0.4xxxx.xxxx then you upgrade to latest version (RU6a) as the previous version had the issue with tmp file and definition corruption.

Yes it updated using the jdb file .

I'll see what happens when it runs it's scheduled update this evening.

I upgraded from RU5 - RU6 - RU6a


any ideas ?

SEPM is downloading the updates directly from internet or from LUA

Hi, I'm using LUA to update .

My Firewall is ok I can download the file perfectly & all other updates come down fine. It worked perfectly till the 31/12/09 & since then I've managed once to get it to update ok then fail again & yesterday when I installed the jdb file it worked ok.

Point any client to download the updates from your LUA and see whether it is updating?

You can check the below Patch settings in Liveupdate Administrator as well.

All clients update from the LUA Server , I can see this locally & through the Console...

I'll give this a go now & post back.

assure that both "SESM Virus Definitions Win32 v11 v2" and "SESM Virus Definitions Win64 (x64) v11 v2" are present and selected in the product selection option for both Download and distribution schedules.
