  • 1.  SEP Manager will not start when SEPM API Service is started

    Hello,

    I have upgrade my test server. I did not have issue during upgrade, all steps was the same like in previous upgrades. Unfortunately, after upgrade I found an issue. My Manager cannot open GUI when 'Symantec Enpoint Protection Manager API Service" is started. When I stop this service GUI open as expected. I can see in task manager that processes are running but guii wont open : 

     

    When I stop this service , manager GUI open corectly:

    Someone can explain me why this issue happen?

    Exact version of 14?

    Any errors in the scm-server-0.log file?

    Download and run the SymDiag tool for additional error checking.

    Thanks Brian. Like always your answer was very helpful.

    Log says that my server had too less available space on system partition. When I did cleanup, SEPM is open without issue.

     

    Can I als o ask you about one cosmetic think. Every time I open console I get message whats new in this version (SEP 14 MP2). How can I do to not see this window again? Previously there was tick box to uncheck but I can't see it here:

    Yes, do you know why I missing it? It is a bug in v.14 MP2?  Or issue is on my server?

    Likely a bug. Support will need to investigate.
