  • 1.  SEP Packages not exporting properly

    I have an odd situation where everything has been working on the SEPM fine and then just recently when I try to export SEP packages from the manager the packages seem to be the wrong size. 

    Orginally the manager was exporting packages fine and they were about 455MB no when I export the same package it's about 60MB as a single setup.exe. I've checked that all content is selected. When I exported it as a none single.exe I noticed the definition distributed with the package were tiny. So I waited for the SEPM to change to the next virus def revision but packages still seem to be exporting the incorrect size.

    Has anyone seen this before and know how to correct it? SEPM is version 12.1 RU4 MP1a

    Oddly enough, Symantec have just released an article on this:

    Exported client packages with full content do not contain full Virus and Spyware Definitions content.

    Cheers SMLatCST at least that puts my mind at rest that there isn't something fundamentally wrong with the SEPM smiley
