Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition

We're using SEP Small Business Edition and I received an alert for an end users system. While not germane, I'm in the US and she is in Europe. Her O/S is Windows-10 Pro.

Was the alert triggered becasue she ran a scan or did SEP pro-actively nail the infection and then notify me (both in the cloud console and by email).

SEP will notify/email when an infection is found and acted on, whether the user ran the scan or it was autmated.

When you say 'automated' do you mean when SEP is running in the background or when it's set for a scheduled scan?
