    Dear Community,

A company I work for has been using Symantec Endpoint Protection for over 8 years.

Management has not renewed the contract and has urgently requested that we switch everyone over to ESET.

I have opted for ESET's Rip & Replace route which removes SEP From machines and installs ESET in parallel.

ESET seems to be doing a great job at Uninstalling SEP. Installations of ESET are succeeding (All functions / areas working AOK).

I've manually remotely accessed some of the machines which now have the ESET product installed and have noticed that some residue from the existing SEP installation remains.

Due to the nature of the ESET installation, I understand there may be some file/registry residue.. What I am concerned about however is drivers, etc that remain from SEP.

Most Registry items have been removed but I've notied that the following remains:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared

    MachineInfo.png

The symantec endpoint protection folder in Program Files has been removed.

Is there anything I should be looking out for at this point?

    Kind Regards,

    Jake

If SEP is the only product on your systems than this folder can be deleted.
