Hello!!

When I do a Search Clients, I have got a problem with the result..

example..

search for clients computer Stats..

I put stats = Online

the result bring clients online, but offline too..

Its happen not for just Stats, for others filters too..

What can it be?

Does it happens for a specfic group  or it only happens when  the all the groups are selected?

I do my search by My Company folder.

If I go to Group Folder, it doesn´t happen... Just when the search starts by "My Company" folder..

Any idea?

I am pretty sure (please correct me if I am wrong) this has been documented earlier as a known issue with RU6/RU6a where the Search Clients feature does not generate accurate results from the very top level (My Company) of the client structure.  To get accurate results, you go one or more levels below My Company and search from there.  Hopefully, should be fixed in future releases

I hope this does get fixed. In previous versions, I was able to search from the My Company level. Now I have to go into AD and see where that PC is at and then search that group in SEPM. Now when searching at the My Company level, it seems to return all PCs even though you specify only one. I hope this can be fixed pretty quickly. I used this all the time, but not so much any more.

For me appear some clients that is online, and anothers that is offline, but, my search is just for online...

I create another group (Computers) below My Company and move all for this new group.. look...

My Company
Default Group
Computers
     Support
     Marketing
     HR


and when i start the search in Computers, still bring offline too...

Well, it´s appear a bug, how ours friends said above..  anyone know any prevision to fix this bug?

I have this exact issue - this was not a problem in RU5.
Blank fields in search results, including inaccurate results (includes hundres of incorrect clients no matter what the search parameter)

I have the same problem (V11.0.6a) - when I search for either "Comupter" or by IP address and I am in the My Company group and include Search Subgroups, the search results lists all the computers in all groups.
When I search in the group that the PC is in (even when the PC is in a subgroup to the group I am searching) then it finds the PC.
I also logged a call wth Symantec and their advice is to remove SEP and SEPM  from the server alltogether and re-install it - This does not work.
The only way I can search for a specific PC is through the Monitors TAB - Logs TAB - Computer Status - Default - Advanced settings - and type in the computer or IP address. This find the PC.

I also have a problem with pulling the Detection Action Summary report from the Risk report type - Detection Action Summary .
The report times out - Anybody else have this problem?

after migrating to ru6 the search from "my company" is totaly weird.
the result is never close to what i'm searching for. e.g.  shows offline clients although searching for online.
Searching from Subgroups under "my company" works as expected.

Anyone from Symantec able to comment on this?

The issue is cosmetic and it  has been reported to Symantec. Once there is an update on it, i will post it here.

.. when you can't search your environment anymore (e.g. GUPs, what has been added in RU5 :-( ),
having a large number of clients and gups.

Prachand, any word on this 'cosmetic' issue yet?  It's been nearly 3 weeks now.  For larger installs this is quite more than a cosmetic issue, this is a serious flaw in the programming.  I've tried going to a group level and doing my searchings, I get every computer under that group.

Just got an update for when this will be fixed....in the next release, no date on when that might happen to be though.
