  • 1.  SEP RUE 6 performance problem

Hy, I have installed in my domain SEP RUE6 over windows systems and I have a performance problem having SEP running and using backup exec 12.5 Rev 2213.
When I have SEP activated I run a job of backup and the job rate on bue 12.5 degrades nearly 50% and the the elapsed time increase too.
My types of backup are file system, databases, exchange and active directory.
What can I do to improve that bad behavior?
    Thanks,
    Eduardo

Check the following settings in the SEPM.

Sandip, has a good first step.

You also NEED to exclude the BE installation directory, the beremote.exe process on both clients and servers as a centralized exception.  If backing up to disk, may want to exclude BKF's too and the B2D folder.

There is a KB article if you hunt around for recommended AV settings when using BackupExec.  I'm pretty sure if you go to the support site and search the KB you can find it with little fuss.
