  • 1.  SEP11 causing backups to run slow

    I have a problem with Sep11 on one of my servers where it is causing the backup to run slow, doubling the amount of time it takes to complete.

    The backup is run overnight and starts around 9pm and used to finish in around 6 hours.  It is now taking 12 to 14 hours.

    If i switch the AV off then the backup runs as normal.  Cant see what is causing this or how to fix it.

    Server is - windows server 2000
    Backup software is - Veritas Backup 9.1 Rev 4691
    Sep client is - 11.0.5002.333

    Any help would be greatly appriciated.

    I will change settings according to details in link and see if this reduces the backup time when run tonight.

    I will mark post as solved, tomorrow if this works.
