  • 1.  SEPM 12.1.5 issues

    Hello All,

     

    Facing strange issue in our AV server , when i fix this problems ( that if i enable Symantec Firewall) , i could not able to connect the server & also i cannot able to update the contents (i.e. signatures) , If i restart the server everyday it would able to update on it's own else i should have to update it manually. please help on this.

    When i run LIVE update :

    Encountered an error while decompressing file C:\ProgramData\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\12.1.5337.5000.105\Data\LUE\Downloads\1450784289jtun_irev151212009.7z.

    Also if when you activate the firewall it blocks all the traffic try enabling firewall logging in the firewall policy to see if the traffic is hitting one of your current rules in the policy.

    I feel definitions are corrupted, verify with the help of following article.

    How to determine if virus definitions of Symantec Endpoint Protection client (SEP) 11 or 12 Small Business Edition, are corrupted

    If definitions are corrupted refer this guide: How to clear out definitions for a Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 client manually

    You can try by repairing SEP client as well
