    Goormorning,

in the last day i tried to update SEPM.

I have stopped "Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager" , i do upgrade and after all process i reset server but two services not up "Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager" and "Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Webserver" and isn't possibile to do manually.

    What could i do?

After i have tried to use "NT AUTHORITY\Network Services" instead of "Local System account" but without resolution.

    Hi,

Run the Management Server Configuration Wizard again and see the result.

If same error occurred attach scm-server.0.log and catalina.out file.

Both the files should be present under Tomcat\logs folder.

i have launch Configuration wizard with "reconfigure server" and "use recover file for comunication with client".

At the next window i do only "next" with default values.

At the last windows the dot is present at "embedded DB" , press "next" and obtain "The embedded DB isn't started".

    Close wizard.

--> tips (maybe) all DB at the upgrade is present in another partition than program , pgm in C: / db in z:.

    Hi,

    That's the problem. Log says "Java.sql.SQLException: [Sybase][JDBC Driver][SQL Anywhere]Database server not found"

It's a SQL database or Embedded database?

    Hi,

I discussed your case with other technicians as well.

Either reinstall SEP 12.1 RU4 and perform a disaster recovery.

    OR

Log a case with support, it needs in-depth troubleshooting why upgrade was failed.

    Let me know your plan.
