  • 1.  SEPM 14 location settings import from SEPM 12?

I am doing a clean build of SEP 14 to replace our SEP 12 install. We will be using GUPs in the same places as before, albeit on new VMs, but the location IPs wont change, Is there a way to export and import the location data? I dont want any other settings to import, I just dont want to re enter the 3 or 4 dozen locations by hand.

    thanks!

There isn't an export option, but, you can right-click and "Copy" it from your old SEPM and "Paste" into the new SEPM. Still a bit tedious but not as bad as re-typing.

    Hope that helps.

it looks like the copy and paste functionality works within the same console but not across sites/versions. I can not copy and paste fron 12 to 14. Surely there is a database table I can copy and paste in SSMS or something, no?

I suppose there is, but, the DB schema changed from 12.1 to 14 and I don't expect DB modifications to be supported.
