We have configured SEPM Client password open client user interface and start and stop services etc.,

Now we notice its not working in SEPM 14.0.1. Our client versions 14.0.3752.1000.

    Anyone noticed this issue before?

Fixed in 14 RU1 MP1 so you'll need to upgrade:

There are other issues in SEP 14 RU1 MP1 as well. You may or may not experience them.  If you do, please open a case with Support.

May want to test first...this KB article was just published, which appears to also affected RU1 MP1:

    Tested RU1 Mp1 , still same issue.

I can stop the services and I can run uninstall client with out asking for password

I hope my users shouldn't try uninstalling SEPM client :P

Did you try the workaround listed in the KB article?

    To Workaround:

    1. Remove password and save Policy.
    2. Add same password. Save Policy.
    3. Verify clients received new Policy.
    4. All passwords should now work.

Yes. I wrote this document. Known issue.  Please follow the workaround and it will resolve the issue.

A quick question about the workaround:

After doing step 1 of removing the password and saving the policy, do all the clients need to receive that updated policy (with password removed) FIRST before proceding with the rest of the steps?  The way the steps read it appears you remove the password/save and then immediately add the password/save then followed by a push out of the policy.  Just want to make sure there is not an assumpution of a policy push bewteen steps 1 and 2.

    Thanks

You should not need to wait for all of the clients to receive the policy.  They will receive the next policy change when you add the password back.
