    Posted Jul 28, 2014 03:34 AM

    Hi all

    I setup a new server & setup a SEPM.

When I run old server SEPM it show failer to connect to the server,

    Run serveices,msc & can't start SEP &SEPM services,

    Repaired SEPM but same problem,

I have SEPM login & password,

Can I copy client list to new SEPM without login? (2 server SEPM are same version)

You to replace the sylink on the clients. You can do this from the new SEPM using the Communication Update Deployment feature within the new SEPM, see here:

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I would be glad to answer your query.

    Q. Can I copy client list to new SEPM without login? (2 server SEPM are same version)

--> Do you have database backup of old server, if yes restore the same into new SEPM.

By default database backup will be at SEPM installed drive, under C:\ Program files(x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\backup folder

Restore the backup by running database backup & restore wizard.

Note: Old SEPM & New SEPM hostname and IP address should be the same.

    Hi,

Go to SEPM instlal loaction and collect SCM-SERVER-0.log under tomcat> log folder and upload along with catlina.out.

Check under conf.properties and check is it blank

Right, It won't work if IP and host name are different.

Can you push new package on the existing clients?
